Welcome to the Rathlin Development & Community Association's official website

The Rathlin Development & Community Association's official website, rathlincommunity.org serves the Rathlin Island community and all those who know and visit the island from all over the world, plus of course anyone who has never visited us, but would like to learn more about the island and its people.

The website features news, information, photos and video of life on Rathlin, and highlights the work done by the Rathlin Development & Community Association for the local community and the island's visitors.

Please bookmark this website and come back soon to keep up with developments, and also please bear with us while we upload more content and tweak the look of the site. In particular, more is being added to the Information for Visitors section, and more images of the island will also be added. Please let us know what you think of the website, and any suggestions you have for it. Thanks, and we hope you find rathlincommunity.org useful.

The current selection of photographs of the island featured in the banner at the top of the site are details cropped mostly from entries to the 2009 Amateur Photographic Competition. They are: an untitled picture by Leslie Anderson, 'Winter light on the stacks' and 'Rainbow at Ushet Port' by Jessica Bates, 'Fairhead Eve' by Stuart Grant, 'From one side to the other' and 'Leaving Rathlin' by Pierre Larraufie, 'Island beauty' by Annita McCurdy, 'A storms a coming' and 'Flowers at Ballycarry' by Joseph McCurdy, 'Ushet sunset' by Ruairi McCurdy, 'A wink to the sun' by Victor Reijs, and 'Rue Point stormy weather No. 3' by Nuala Simpson. The other five featured pictures are the Webmaster's own.
