RATHLIN SOUND MARITIME FESTIVAL 2017 - FRI 26 MAY

2.30pm Boat Blessing, Rathlin Harbour (7.30pm, Ballycastle)

Blessing of the boats
Pausing at the dawn of the Festival to reflect on the awesome nature of the sea that surrounds us, all it gives – and takes, to invoke a blessing for our boats and for wisdom, respect and safety for all who travel on or work with the sea.

Friday 26th May – Sunday 4th June HMS Drake Exhibition - St Thomas’s Church

HMS Drake Exhibition:
An exhibition of images and information on HMS Drake, Britain’s Royal Navy warship torpedoed off Rathlin’s North side and sunk in Church Bay, will commemorate this 100th anniversary year of the sinking. Open all day, free admission. The exhibition will continue in place for the rest of the summer season.
