RISE RATHLIN RAMBLE 2019

The return of the annual fundraising walk in aid of the RISE Foundation.

The RISE Foundation will be holding our 6th Rise Rathlin Ramble on the 4th May 2019 on the beautiful Rathlin Island, Co. Antrim.

To REGISTER for the RISE Rathlin Ramble 2019 please contact Brian on 01 7645131 or email Brian@therisefoundation.ie.

As it is a fundraising event, we are hoping to get as many people as possible onto the island to walk the 7 miles (11.2 km) with us. We are therefore asking everyone to try their best to raise £100 each (which is only £10 sponsorship X 10 family/friends!) which will include your registration fee along with soup and sandwich after the walk along with listening to some great live traditional music.

To secure your place on the Ramble we ask that you pay €50 as a deposit, this prevents people from pulling out of the walk at the last minute as this was a huge issue for us last year.

-The Ramble starts at 1pm on the day so it is advisable to get the 10am, 11.15am or 12pm boat.
-The walk is 7 miles which can take anything from 2 to 3 hours depending on the pace that you walk.
-When you arrive on Rathlin there will be someone waiting at the boat to bring you over to registration.
-After the walk there will be soup and sandwiches served.
-If you are not staying on the Island, the last boat leaving Rathlin going back to Ballycastle will be at 5.30pm
Accommodation is very limited on the Island but here is a link to some accommodation on Rathlin: http://www.rathlincommunity.org/accommodation

It takes about 3 hours to drive from Dublin to Ballycastle where you can then get the ferry to Rathlin https://www.google.ie/maps/dir/Dublin/Ballycastle,+United+Kingdom/@53.It...

It takes about 1 hour from Belfast to Ballycastle by car.

It is very important to book the boat before you arrive. Here is the website for the boat: https://www.rathlinballycastleferry.com/timetable/

In the meantime, if you have any questions at all about the ramble please give us a call in the office on +353 1 764 5131.

We really hope you join us for what should be a very memorable day on a beautiful island!
