There was a great turnout of island residents for the opening of the 'Rathlin Reflections' exhibition in the Verbal Arts Centre in Derry yesterday.

Volunteer Beach Clean

Students and staff from St Bonaventure University, New York State visited the island yesterday, and worked hard clearing rubbish from Mill Bay up towards Church Bay.

Coastguard Campaign Update

Coastguard Cuts Campaign

The UK government are proposing to close the Belfast Coastguard centre at Bregenz House in Bangor. Many people in Northern Ireland are very concerned at the implications this would have for the safety of people using the seas and coast all around the north.

Proposed Rat & Ferret Eradication Programme

Anja Rosler of the RSPB, who visited the island recently, will be returning next week to continue giving information and answering queries about the proposed extermination of Rathlin's rat and ferret populations.
