Memorial Service for Bess Cameron

All are welcome to attend a service to celebrate the life of Bess Cameron. This will take place on Tuesday 25th October 2016 in St. Thomas' Church, Rathlin Island at 11.45am. Everyone is welcome to join us afterwards in McCuaig's Bar for refreshment at 1pm

Septic Tank Emptying

Funeral Arrangements for Bess Cameron

The following message has been received from Bess's family.

Bess Cameron RIP
Lesley and Victoria wish to thank the Islanders for the love and support given to us at such a difficult time. This was the place our mother loved, amongst dear friends.

The cremation will take place on Tuesday 11th October at 1.30. There will also be a service of remembrance at St Thomas's Church on Tuesday 25th October, to which you will all be made very welcome.

Thank you so sincerely for everything.

Bess Cameron passed away early this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with her daughters and all of the Cameron family at this sad time. Further details about the arrangements will be posted later.

New Wi-Fi in the Richard Branson Centre

The RDCA, after experimenting with a satellite service from Avonline, has now gone with a phoneline business service from PlusNet for the Richard Branson Centre. This service is working well so far, with download speeds of 55.91 Mb/s and upload speeds of 8.31 Mb/s being recorded.

We have been told by BT, after a long period of trying to get services ourselves, and of trying to get information from them, that they are not currently planning on providing high speed services to business accounts on Rathlin.

Rathlin Ministerial Forum Meets in the Manor House

On Wednesday 21st September, the Ministerial Forum met in the Manor House, chaired by Chris Hazzard MLA, Minister for Infrastructure. The meeting saw the launch of the Rathlin Island Action Plan 2016-2020.
